In March 2015, Ken Howard OBE RA, Patrick Cullen NEAC and Pete Brown NEAC RP went on a painting trip to Varanasi, India.
This film follows them as they each tackle their chosen subject matter. From the bustling streets to the public cremations at the burning ghats by the river Ganges, we see each artist struggle to record the rich and colourful life that is Varanasi, one of the oldest religious centres in India.
Artist Neale Worley NEAC RP was unable to resist the opportunity to document the challenges faced by artists in capturing such an inspiring city. The three allowed him to share their thoughts as they painted. Only a fellow artist could produce such a frank and revealing film.
